Lifelong Supports, formerly Ingham Disability Support Services has been an integral part of the Ingham community for over 40 years. Our story began in 1976 when a group of determined parents united to advocate for much-needed services to support individuals with disabilities in the Hinchinbrook area. Through their unwavering efforts, the Ingham Special School was established, providing a nurturing environment for their children.

Recognising the ongoing need for support services beyond the school years, the Ingham Parents' Support Group laid the foundation for Ingham Disability Support Services. Our humble beginnings allowed us to grow our services gradually and focus on providing care for locals, in a practical and compassionate manner.

Over time, Lifelong Supports has evolved to meet the diverse needs of our community. We now offer a comprehensive range of services, catering to individuals with physical, intellectual, neurological, acquired, and aged related needs. Our mission is to deliver reliable, high-quality care that makes a genuine difference in the lives of those we serve.

Since the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), we have been able to expand our services even further to provide support to people who previously weren’t eligible to receive our care.

As a Not-for-Profit, we are driven by a pragmatic approach. We do what is necessary, when it is needed most, without losing sight of our mission.

With a growing team of over 100 dedicated, local staff, including support workers, allied health professionals, and qualified community workers, we bring together a wealth of expertise and an extensive local network, to deliver dependable care to those that need it most.
